1) Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Snap2Video ("the App", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the App.
Snap2Video turns a photo you choose into an AI generated video. Generating a video requires sending your photo and your effect selection to AI providers, so this policy describes that flow in detail.
By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
2) No Account Required
The App does not ask for a name, an email address, or a password. Instead, the App generates a random device identifier on first launch and registers it with our backend. That identifier is how the App recognizes your purchases and your remaining credit balance.
The identifier is not derived from your hardware and does not identify you as a person. It is stored on your device and is also used as the customer identifier inside our subscription provider.
3) Information We Collect
- Device identifier and credentials: the random device ID described above and the secret used to sign requests to our backend.
- Photos and videos you submit: the image you pick from your photo library or capture with the camera, and the video generated from it.
- Generation parameters: the effect, template, or model you select, and technical job data such as job status and duration.
- Usage and event data: screen views, feature usage, generation started and completed events, paywall views, and purchase events.
- Subscription and purchase data: subscription status, product identifiers, trial state, and credit balance.
- Technical data: app version, operating system version, device model, language, region, and error or diagnostic data.
- Advertising identifier (IDFA): collected only if you allow tracking in the App Tracking Transparency prompt. It is used to measure which advert or link brought you to the App.
Analytics events are filtered before they are sent. The App removes prompt text, file paths, file names, image data, video data, and email addresses from analytics properties, so free text you type is not included in analytics.
4) Camera and Photo Library
- The system photo picker runs outside the App and hands over only the items you select. The App does not read your whole photo library.
- Camera access is requested only when you choose to shoot a new photo.
- Photo library add access is requested only when you choose to save a generated video.
5) AI Features and Media Processing
To generate a video, the App uploads your selected photo and your effect selection to our backend, which forwards them to third-party AI providers:
- Eachlabs — AI workflow and model orchestration.
- fal.ai — AI model inference for video generation.
- Google Gemini — AI processing for prompt and content handling.
These providers receive your photo, the generated video, and the related generation parameters. They process this data on their own infrastructure, under their own privacy policies and retention rules. We do not control how long each provider keeps a job record on its side.
Do not upload photos of other people without their permission, and do not upload unlawful or rights-infringing content.
6) Infrastructure
Our backend runs on Cloudflare. Cloudflare provides compute, storage, content delivery, and security protection, and processes connection data such as IP address and request metadata in order to route and protect traffic.
7) Storage and Retention
- Uploaded photos and generated videos are stored in our cloud storage on Cloudflare so the video can be delivered to your device and shown in your history.
- Generated videos remain in cloud storage while your device record is active, so you can access them again from the App.
- Videos you save are also stored on your own device and in your photo library, under your control.
- Copies may exist for a period on the AI providers' systems as part of their own job processing and logging.
- Analytics, purchase, and technical log data are retained by the relevant provider under its own retention schedule, and by us where needed for security, billing integrity, or legal compliance.
- You may request deletion of your stored media and device record at any time using the contact address in this policy.
8) Third-Party Services and SDKs
- Cloudflare — backend hosting, storage, and delivery.
- Eachlabs — AI workflow orchestration.
- fal.ai — AI video model inference.
- Google Gemini — AI processing.
- Adapty — subscription, paywall, and credit balance management. Adapty may also collect the advertising identifier for attribution when you allow tracking.
- Mixpanel — product analytics.
- Apple — App Store purchase processing and receipt validation.
These providers process data according to their own privacy policies. We do not sell personal data and we do not share your photos or videos for advertising purposes.
9) Purpose and Legal Basis
Depending on your location, we process data on one or more of the following bases:
- Performance of a contract — generating videos, keeping your credit balance, and delivering paid features.
- Legitimate interests — security, abuse prevention, reliability, and product improvement.
- Consent — App Tracking Transparency, and optional analytics where local law requires consent.
- Legal obligations — tax, accounting, and legal requests.
10) Your Choices and Rights
- You can turn analytics off in the App settings. When it is off, the App stops sending analytics events.
- You can deny or revoke tracking, camera, and photo permissions in the iOS Settings app at any time.
- Subject to your local law, you may request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your data, and you may object to or restrict certain processing.
- Residents of the EEA and the UK may lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority. Residents of California may exercise rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know and the right to delete. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA.
- To make a request, write to [email protected] and include your device identifier if you can, so the correct record is found.
11) Security
Requests to our backend are signed, and the signing secret is stored in the iOS Keychain. Data in transit uses encrypted connections. We apply commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
12) Children
The App is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13, or under the minimum digital-consent age in your country. If you believe a child has provided personal data unlawfully, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.
13) International Transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States and other countries where our providers operate. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
14) Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates become effective when published in the App or on this page.
